Our training teaches us that there are steps to
cleaning carpet correctly. First, you must vacuum area with a
commercial grade vacuum. Second, a
pre-spray must be applied to loosen dirt and soil
from the carpet fibers. After pre-spraying, a carpet
grooming tool should be used to agitate pile, this loosens dirt and works
pre-spray into carpet pile. A truck-mounted
cleaning system is utilized to give us the temperature and vacuum pressure
needed to perform a proper hot water extraction.
Next, stain protection should be re-applied. Over time, stain
protection wears off. Cleaning further removes it. Re-application of
stain protection increases your chances of being
able to blot up a spill before it becomes a stain. Lastly, another
grooming pass should be made (especially on cut-pile carpet) to help work stain
protection into pile and grooming pile in one direction makes carpet look nice
and dry evenly.
